Vintage Fingerless Gloves

Adapted from the Hopeful Honey blog.

Hello all! I was looking for a quick crochet project to do while waiting to get more yarn for a Christmas gift project. I had saved the link to the Hopeful Honey blog on my phone awhile ago, thinking to myself that I would get back to it at some point. Today was as good a day as any! Here is the pattern for the gloves.

Hook size: G (4.50mm)
Yarn: the pattern called for "8-ply yarn". I used Red Heart Super Saver in Glowworm.
Optional: 40cm (thin) ribbon

Make 2.
Ch (chain) 30, join with slip stitch. Be careful not to twist the chain.
Row 1: ch 2, half double crochet (hdc) in every stitch (st) around. Join with slip stitch (sl st) to 2nd ch of last st.
Rows 2-6: (See ~) Ch 2, hdc in every st around. Sl st to 2nd ch in last st.  ~: If you have larger hands, add more rows to make palm space longer. You can also add more chains in the beginning to make the palm space wider.
Row 7: Ch 2, hdc in next 9 sts. Make hole for thumb: ch 4, skip next 4 sts, hdc in remaining sts. Join with sl st to 2nd ch of last st.
Row 8-15: Ch 2, hdc in every st around. Join with sl st to 2nd ch of last st.
Row 16: Turn work to wrong side, ch 3, double crochet (dc) into 1st st. Sl st into next st, yarn over (YO), insert hook into next st, YO, pull back through st (3 loops on hook), YO, pull through 2 loops, YO, insert into same st, YO, pull loop back through st (4 loops), YO, pull through all loops, sl st in next st. Continue until you reach the end. Fasten off.
Optional: Weave thin, pretty ribbon through stitches near the bottom of the glove and tie in a pretty bow.

I hope you enjoyed making these ultra sweet gloves. They are so easy to make and super QUICK! They're perfect for warming your hands up but not getting too warm on these crazy fall days. If you have any questions, please let me know!!
