Sleepy Owl Mask

I have yet to make this mask and I really want to. This is a good project if you have a lot of scrap yarn or half skeins lying around. If you'll notice, none of my patterns have yarn color choices because I like to give you the option of picking your own colors. Everything you make should be totally customizable. So once I post pictures of the things I make, be free!! You don't need to do these projects in the colors I choose. With that said, here's the pattern!

Yarn: Medium worsted weight in a variety of colors
Hook Size: J (6.00mm)
Ribbon
Small piece of fleece

MASK
Ch 5, 2 sc in second ch from hook, sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in last stitch, ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Sc in each stitch, ch 1, turn -- 6sc.
Row 3: 2 sc in 1st stitch, sc in next 4 stitches, 2 sc in last stitch, ch 1, turn.
Rows 4-8: Sc in each stitch, ch 1, turn -- 8sc
Row 9: Sc decrease, sc in next 4 stitches, sc decrease, ch 1, turn.
Row 10: Sc in each stitch, ch 1, turn -- 6sc
Row 11: Sc decrease, sc in next 4 stitches, ch 1, turn.
Row 12: Sc in each stitch, ch 1, turn -- 5sc
Row 13: 2 Sc in first stitch, sc in next 4 stitches, ch 1, turn.
Row 14: Sc in each stitch, ch 1, turn -- 6sc
Row 15: 2 sc in first stitch, sc in next 4 stitches, 2 sc in last stitch, ch 1, turn.
Row 16-20: Sc in each stitch, ch 1, turn -- 6sc
Row 21: Sc decrease, sc in next 4 stitches, sc decrease, ch 1, turn.
Row 22: Sc in each stitch, ch 1, turn -- 6 sc
Row 23: Sc decrease, sc in next 2 stitches, sc decrease, ch 1, turn.
    Continue to sc around entire mask, fasten off and weave in ends.

EYES (Make 2)
    Make an adjustable magic ring.
Make 10 half double crochet in magic ring, join with a slip stitch to the top of the first half double crochet, ch 2.
Round 2: 2 half double crochet in each stitch around -- 20 hdc
Fasten off leaving a long tail to sew onto Mask.

Stitch the eyelashes on with a tapestry needle and black yarn.

NOSE
Ch 5, sc in 2nd chain from hook, hdc in next stitch, dc in next 2 stitches.
Fasten off, leaving a tail to sew onto mask.

Sew eyes and nose onto mask.

Cut fleece in shape of mask and blanket stitch to mask. (This fleece lining is optional.)

Use ribbon for straps or crochet straps to the mask. Pull ribbon through a stitch on the side of the mask and hot glue it to secure it down.
